This Privacy Policy explains how the Change Logger Google Apps Script add-on (“the Application”) collects, uses, and safeguards data within Google Sheets.

Information Collected:

• Edit details: timestamp, user email (if available), sheet name, cell range, previous values, new values, and user-provided change reason.
• User interactions within the Application’s sidebar.

Purpose of Collection:

To maintain an audit trail of changes within your Google Sheet and capture reasons for edits.

3. Data Storage and Security

All logs are securely stored in the “ChangeLog” sheet within your Google Spreadsheet.

A temporary edit queue is maintained using Script Document Properties; accessible only to document editors.

No data is transmitted externally—your information remains in your Google Drive account.

Access to logged data is restricted according to your Google Sheet’s sharing permissions.

4. Data Sharing

This Application does not share, transmit, or sell information to any third party. Edit logs are accessible only to individuals with permission to view or edit the relevant Google Sheet. No external servers, analytics, or advertisers are involved.

5. User Rights and Control

You may view, edit, or delete entries in the “ChangeLog” sheet at your discretion. Removing the script will disable all logging and sidebar features. You control access through standard Google Sheets sharing settings.

6. Third Parties

The Application operates exclusively within Google’s Apps Script and Google Sheets environments. No integration with or reliance on third-party services or trackers.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Application is intended for general productivity and should not be used by children under the age of 13.

8. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Material changes will be communicated within the Application or document notes.
